Tutorial 4 - Creating Special Effects with Cascading Style Sheets

This is the first Tutorial covered in just one week. All remaining Tutorials will also be covered in one week. Next week is our Mid-Term Exam. Start early. You can't afford to fall behind.

This is the first chance to make external style sheets yourself. You will come to understand that Cascading Styles, and External Style Sheets make easier your job as webmaster. It may seem like extra work this week. Keep the faith, there is a payoff to come.

Tutorial 3 introduced CSS. Tutorial 4 continues this work. By now, you should be certain about your understanding of using Styles with HTML. Your goal is to be able to define, recognize, and use in writing your own HTML these three (3) implementations of styles: Inline Styles, Internal Styles, and External (Embeded) Styles. Vertually ever WebPage you author from this point forward should make use of all 3 implementations of HTML Styles. Inline styles are for one HTML tag. Internal/Embeded styles are for one WebPage. Where as, external styles (CSS) are for an entire WebSite. If this is still a mater of confusion, you need to review Tutorial 3, and continue to study Tutorial 4. Styles are key to your success.
